About Don Conreaux

Formerly known as Baba Don and later as Guru Jagat, Don Conreaux is one of the five original Kundalini Yoga teachers in the late 1960s. His spiritual journey began long before the gong became his signature instrument, rooted in the traditions of Kundalini Yoga, meditation, and esoteric studies.

In 1969, Don introduced the gong as a central tool for healing and transformation within Kundalini practice, pioneering the modern use of the gong as an instrument of sound therapy and consciousness expansion. For over five decades, he has shared his knowledge through Gong Master Trainings worldwide, teaching thousands of students in every corner of the globe.

Revered for his lifetime of dedication, Don has carried many names, but his true essence has always been as a bridge between sound and spirit, a guide who reminds us that the gong is not just an instrument—it is the voice of the cosmos.

About Yaelle Shaphir

Carrying forward her father’s legacy, Yaelle Shaphir blends tradition with innovation. Raised in a family immersed in yoga, sound, and healing, she has developed her own unique perspective as a teacher, sound therapist, and gong player. With a background in both the arts and healing work, Yaelle brings a fresh lens that honors Don’s original teachings while expanding them to meet the needs of modern practitioners and communities.

Her teaching style emphasizes presence, accessibility, and creativity, inspiring students to find their authentic voice with the gong. Together, Don and Yaelle offer a rare multi-generational transmission of gong wisdom—a dynamic balance of ancient lineage and contemporary practice.

Important Note: This Advanced Gong Master Training is not a beginner’s course. Prior experience with the gong is required.

For those who are new to gong practice, an Online Beginner’s Gong Course will be available starting January 2026 for an additional fee. This foundational course is designed to prepare new students with the basics before stepping into the advanced-level training.

You can book any hotel, but ride shares will only be available from this hotel.  We will send a list of those needing and offering rides 2 weeks before the course start date.

All payments are refundable before April 1, 2026.  After April 1, 2026 there will be no refunds of any payments or deposits. There are no exceptions. Lunches included every day on June 5,6,7, and 8.  Vegan and non vegan are available and everything is gluten free.

Travel:

Air Travel and transportation to the retreat is not included. We would recommend flying into Lincoln (LNK) only 20 minutes from the hotel, but you can also fly into the Omaha airport (OMA) and book your own transportation to Lincoln (60 miles or 75 minutes).

There is a shuttle service you can take from Omaha.  You must reserve this service ahead of time before your arrival date directly with OmaLink.  Please have your flight information handy as they will require this information in order to book your shuttle.
