Online Class FAQs

Q.  How long does this class take?

A.  The online class includes about 42 hours of pre-recorded videos that you can watch at your own pace as well as three group Zoom meetings with your class and three one-on-one Zoom meetings with your instructor.  The three group Zoom meetings will take place in the first 30 days of class.  You will have 60 days to complete the online class lessons and exams as well as the three one-on-one meetings with your instructor.  You will then have six months to complete the 15 required pro bono sessions and turn those session forms in to us to become Certified.

Q. What is included in the class pack?

A.  Your class pack includes all four bowls and accessories needed as well as a 400+ page full color manual, an eye pillow, and a few other fun props for class.  The only thing you will need to provide is a massage table.  We use the Earthlite Harmony DX in class.  https://www.earthlite.com/harmony-dx-portable-massage-table-package.html

Q.  How do you choose the bowls that are sent to the students?

A.  The harmonized bowl sets are put together by our in-house musician Tony.

Q.  How will we practice since we aren't in class with other students to practice on?

A.  To get started, we highly recommend you do a few practice sessions on clothes laid out on a massage table.  Since your recorded practice sessions are required to be on a person, most students use friends or family members to practice on.  Everybody wins!

Q.  How will I receive feedback on my technique?

A.  Each student is required to record three practice VST sessions which must be done on a person.  The student will send us the video using WeTransfer or DropBox and will then schedule a one-on-one meeting via Zoom with the instructor to receive feedback.  The student must receive feedback on the first video before recording the second, and must receive feedback on the second video before recording the third.

Q.  What do I do if I have trouble recording or sending my video?

A.  Unfortunately this is not an issue we can help with long distance.  If you are having trouble recording or sending your video, you will need to find someone locally who can help you work through it since we cannot see or take control of your phone or video.

Q. What is required to receive my Certification?

A.  To receive your Certification, you must first watch all class videos, complete all online class exams, and complete three practice sessions that are recorded and sent to your instructor as well as three one-on-one zoom meetings with your instructor to receive feedback on your technique.  After those steps are completed, you will perform 15 pro bono sessions on friends and family and turn the completed session forms in to the home office.  Your session forms will be processed and your Certification will be shipped to you in 7-10 business days.

Q.  How long do I have to complete the class?

A.  You will have 60 days to complete all the videos, exams, practice sessions, and one-on-ones with your instructor.  After you have completed that portion, you will have six months to complete your 15 pro bono sessions and turn them in to us for certification.

Q.  Is continuing education required?  What about any additional costs or fees?

A.  There is no continuing education required or any additional costs or fees due to become Certified.
